On Moving to NYC
Over the last few years I’ve started dozens of blogs, only to watch each fizzle and die (and usually fairly quickly at that). I rebooted this particular tumblelog itself after moving to LA two years ago, and it followed the normal trajectory: the obligatory introductory post declaring my grand intentions, a few weeks of diligent posting (which turns out really sucked and has since been deleted), and then silence for an extended stretch of time. That is until the circle begins again…
So, on the occasion of my move to New York, I’ve decided to have another go at it. Who knows, maybe this blog won’t be any more of a success than it’s numerous predecessors. And yet still I’m hopeful.
As I stated in the previous intro post: “I’m hoping this will become a journal about my exploration of my new home. (And of course, all those fun little things I find online.)”
That still sounds good to me, so away we go…
