Feature checklist dysfunction
A somewhat tongue-in-cheek example of why arbitrary feature checklists are pointless (and they’re all arbitrary). Use whatever is best for you. Who cares what other people use, what other people think is “better”, or what is currently “winning”? Evaluate a product yourself (ideally by using it for a while), and then decide. There are no wrong answers. (Well, Microsoft and Android and Nokia are wrong answers. Just kidding.)
Can’t we all just give up on the stupid X-is-better-than-Y and you’re an idiot for choosing it? Or X-killer will kill the hell outta X. Nothing is better. It’s only better for you.
Here’s why I decided not to use a Nexus One (or any other Android phone):
The Nexus One may be the better choice for people who care about what it does well, like synchronizing with Google’s services. But I don’t care about those things, and I do care about a lot of factors that the iPhone is a better fit for.
It would be ignorant and arrogant for me to presume that your priorities are anything like mine.
